Group Supported Employment places small
groups of people (8 or less) to work in community businesses. A Nova staff
member provides daily training and support to the group employees. Our
staff member also educates the host company employees about the needs
of people with disabilities and how to accept them as co-workers. This
program provides individuals the opportunity to earn consistent money,
make new friends, and gain skills toward independence.
Features of Group Supported Employment
- Provides a group of workers of up to eight individuals
- Workers are continually supervised by a Nova staff member

- Workers are people with disabilities who are willing and anxious to
work
- Each worker is paid based on productivity.
- Nova bills the host business on a monthly basis for the work performed.
